Outdoor equipment for protection of level crossing
Level crossing electric barrier is used for additional security of traffic on intersections of railways and roads in the same level. Control device of the barrier (DM100) is used to control the work of the system and proper functionality of the barrier PPB 660A. Indications of eventual pole breakage are provided by light and sound signals
Technical data of the barrier PPB-660A:
- Motor with DC current 24V; 170 W
- Electromagnet 24V; 2,4 W
- Electric heater 110V; 80 W
- Barrier opening time 5 – 18 sec.
- Barrier closing time 6 – 15 sec
- Dimensions of the housing 1330×548×500 mm
Poles are made of light anti-corrosive material that can resist the wind over 1000 N/m. These are manufactured in lengths 3,5–7,5 meters without net, or 3,5–4,5 meters with net. Control insert for pole breakage enables eventual breakage to happen on the insert, so that the pole is not destroyed. Position red signal light and reflecting glasses provide pole lighting.
10kHz CIRCUIT
The 10 kHz circuit belongs to a group of tone rail circuits, which do not require isolated sections and expensive equipment to follow them. It is used for control of short sections at the level crossing (it detects the presence of a train in narrow zone of LC, at 15 m average). It operates based on the principle of transmitting a high frequency current of 10 kHz by the transmitter, passing the current through the rails and receiving it on the receiving side. The receiver receives the current and sends it back to the LC housing on the track relay DrL after the voltage correction. When there is no train on the LC, the voltage is 10 VDC and energizes the relay coil. When the train is in the LC zone its shafts shortly connect two rails, causing a voltage drop in the receiving part of the 10 kHz circuit and the DrL relay dropout. The corresponding relay contact prevents the switching off the LC after the train passing over the disconnection contacts. In addition to this function, the 10 kHz circuit has more functions, such as, preventing the activation of the LC when the train, after a long standing (for any reason), moves causing unwanted activation of the LC.
Features :
-Input power supply – 18VDC
-Regulated voltage – 12VDC
-Output voltage – 15VDC
-Voltage at the relay DrL
a) 5V
b) 10V
-Operating frequency 10kHz ± 1%
It is supplied installed in the rail head and mounted in the same way as the rail head. For cabling with signal cable 4 wires 0,9 are enough.
